West Los Angeles Dentist Uses Latest Technological Advances to Give His Patients Faster, Painless Treatment
Dental patients in West Los Angeles have a lot to smile about these days. West Los Angeles dentist Dr. Abbas Eftekhari's commitment to continued education and technology means that the people in at least one West Los Angeles dental office will be smiling year-round from now on.
Thanks to modern technology, dental patients are now able to enjoy needle-free dental anesthesia and something called CDR, which stands for computer digital radiography. Some dentists have been slow to adopt the new procedures, but Dr. Eftekhari doesn't believe in lagging behind on technology. He looks for new technology, finds it, and makes it a part of his dental practice immediately. His willingness to advance has proven especially helpful to his patients. They benefit directly from his constant research on the latest technologies dentistry has to offer its patients.
Computer digital radiography is a new form of x-ray technology that completely eliminates the need for film or chemicals to capture images of teeth. Images are taken more quickly, patients are exposed to less radiation, and waiting room time is drastically reduced. Dr. Eftekhari is proud to offer this new form of technology to help his patients enjoy a better experience in his office.
Needle-free dental anesthesia helps patients with a fear of needles. Best of all, it helps patients who have a fear of pain, which is just about anyone who steps into the dental chair. This type of dental anesthesia is painless for the patient. Dr. Eftekhari is especially happy that he can offer this kind of service to the patients he cares about.

For all the health care reform skeptics- do you think a non-profit insurance co-op would work for the US?
We have a President that listens to the people.
There are so many idiotic notions about health reform out there, Obama has had to waste this last week explaining the facts to the skeptics. He stated that he is open to considering a non profit insurance co-op plan, similar to ones already in the US.
Why, why, why do people not want to help Americans?
For the past 3 days there has been a free health clinic in Los Angeles. Thousands of Americans went to it out of deperation. Doesn't that show us the need for health care for all. I watched many interviews with participants. Most were working people with poor or no health insurance. The doctors & dentists offering their services were mostly individuals who offer free medical clinics in other countries as a charity. I contribute to many charities, but just feel that these talented doctors should concentrate on Americans first.
The public option for insurance, or one provided by the government, that Obama has proposed is the real issue people have against the health care reform. The public option would not have the overhead of the current private insurance companies that we use today.
Considering that the private insurance companies have to pay the CEO, the lobbyists, advertising, dividends to the stock holders and the politicians (see link below), the public option absent these monies would be reasonable and they are afraid people would opt for the public government run option.
So you see, this is all about money...NOT about providing people affordable health care insurance or quality care.
The US is ranked 37th by the World Health Organization for our ability to provide health care.
I agree with you and I support the Health Care reform, but the Health care for profit industry is spending more than Bush and Kerry spent in the 2004 election to stop the health care reform. Two organizations are the Freedom Works and Americans for Prosperity. I watched a segment this morning on Americans for Prosperity...these people want to restore the constitution...less government. Hmm...less government to allow the crooks to continue stealing. They all sounded like used car salesmen selling a clunker. The people in the audience were mostly the older people...probably on Medicare. I wonder how many knew Medicare is a government program. It was pitiful.
We need to thank Edgar Kaiser and Richard Nixon for the current quagmire health care situation:
Ehrlichman: “… private enterprise one.”
President Nixon: “Well, that appeals to me.”
Ehrlichman: “Edgar Kaiser is running his Permanente deal for profit. And the reason that he can … the reason he can do it … I had Edgar Kaiser come in … talk to me about this and I went into it in some depth. All the incentives are toward less medical care, because …”
President Nixon: [Unclear.]
Ehrlichman: “… the less care they give them, the more money they make.”
President Nixon: “Fine.” [Unclear.]
Ehrlichman: [Unclear] “… and the incentives run the right way.”
President Nixon: “Not bad.”
