Could You Be Using Free Detox Diets To Become Healthier? Find Out How Right Now!
Theresea Hughes asked:
Detox diets are a very trendy weight loss method in America right now. They are simple and easy to follow, while offering several desirable benefits. They help the dieter lose weight without a rigorous workout routine. They also offer the benefit of detoxifying the body. The detox aspect of these diets comes from the intake of water without all of the chemicals that can be found in many foods in common diets. These chemicals can build up in the body and eventually cause a wide array of problems. Detox diets help flush these chemicals out of the body’s organs. However, there are numerous different free detox diet recipes to be found. There are some ways to determine if a certain one is right for you.
The most rigorous detox diet is simply known as fasting. The diets usually come with a follow up program after the water wasting is complete. This can include eating raw foods, which ensure they are as nutritious as possible. Lasting for three days or so, the water fasting diet is more than many people can handle. For those who detox often, a water fast may not be as intimidating, but for others there are options that may be more appealing.
Another alternative is a simple water diet with additives. Typically, these free detox diets are water with a flavored powder and some sort of sugar such as maple syrup. The Lemon Diet is one such free detox diet. It contains powder with nutrients such as zinc and calcium and combines a calorie in water. The calorie in this diet is organic maple syrup. At about 70 calories per glass, it can substitute meals for a week or two and help the body detox while you lose weight. The recipe is simple and effective. For some, more nutrition may be desired. For someone who is very active a vegetable juice diet may be appealing.
There are countless recipes for detox diets that involve vegetables. Most use a combination of three different sources. Tomato, cucumber and celery is a very popular juice blend. Carrots, wheat grass and kale can provide an incredible amount of nutrition while still helping the body detox and lose weight. Vegetable diets are appealing to many not only because of the different combinations that can be used, but because they offer all the nutrients of uncooked vegetables. Cooking vegetables may rob them of their nutrients, but a raw vegetable juice blend provides all the nutrition a person needs during the short term detox diet.
Regardless of the type of free detox diet you choose, there are numerous options and plenty of recipes for detox diets to be found. These diets can be a bit too strenuous for first time detox dieters, but for those who have found mixed results with other diet programs, they may be the next step that they need to take to feel good and lose the extra pounds.
